Format:

All references should be double spaced, have a hanging indent and be listed in alphabetical order.  The elements to include are as follows:

Author Last Name, First Initial. Second Initial. (Year, Month Day). Article title: Subtitle. Magazine Title, Volume(Issue), page range.

Rostron, S. (2019, April 4). I hate HMTL: The reasons you should too. Today's Nonsense, 12(5), 36-37.

Using in-text citation is necessary to help avoid instances of plagiarism.


Paraphrase:

An entry that appears in the body of your paper that includes the last name of the author and the year of publication when you express information or ideas taken from a source using your own words.  

Examples:

If one author

Rostron (2019) states

(Rostron, 2019).


Quotation:

An entry that appears in the body of your paper after a direct quote that includes the last name of the author, the year of publication and page number(s).

Examples:

If one author

(Rostron, 2019, p. 36).

(Rostron, 2019, pp. 36-37).
