An entry that appears at the end of your paper that starts on its own separate page.


Format:

All references should be double spaced, have a hanging indent and be listed in alphabetical order.  The elements to include are as follows:

Author Last Name, First Initial. Second Initial. (Last Update or Copyright Date). Title of webpage. Site name. Full URL including http(s)

Editor Last Name, First Initial. Second Initial. (Ed.). (Last Update or Copyright Date). Title of webpage. Site name. Full URL including http(s)

 

If there is no date given use (n.d) in its place

Author Last Name, First Initial. Second Initial. (n.d.). Title of webpage. Stie name. Full URL including http(s)

Editor Last Name, First Initial. Second Initial. (Ed.). (n.d.). Title of webpage. Site name. Full URL including http(s)

If one author:

If one editor:

Using in-text citation is necessary to help avoid instances of plagiarism.


Paraphrase:

An entry that appears in the body of your paper that includes the last name of the author and the year of publication when you express information or ideas taken from a source using your own words.  

Examples:

If one author If one editor

(Hill, 2019).

(Hill, 2019).

If no date

Hill (n.d.) states

(Hill, n.d.).

Hill (n.d.) states

(Hill, n.d.).


Quotation:

An entry that appears in the body of your paper after a direct quote that includes the last name of the author, the year of publication and paragraph number(s).

Examples:

If one author If one editor

(Hill, 2019, para. 15).

(Hill, 2019, para. 14-15).

(Hill, 2019, para. 4).

(Hill, 2019, para. 4-5).

If no date

(Hill, n.d., para. 15).
