An entry that appears at the end of your paper that starts on its own separate page.


Format:

All works cited should be double spaced, have a hanging indent and be listed in alphabetical order.  The elements to include are as follows:

First Author's Last Name, First Name and Second Author's Full Name. "Title of Article." Title of Newspaper, Day Month Year, Pages*.


Examples:

If one author:

Cronkite, Walter and Barbara Walters. "Yesterday's News is Today's History." USA Daily, 15 March 2016, p. L7.

In-Text Citation

In-Text Citation

Using in-text citation is necessary to help avoid instances of plagiarism.  It is an entry that appears in the body of your paper that includes the last name of the author and page number when you express information or ideas taken from a source through a quote or by using your own words.  

Examples:

If one author:

(Cronkite and Walters L7).

Cronkite and Walters stated that "Insert quoted text here" (L7).
