Format:

All works cited should be double spaced, have a hanging indent and be listed in alphabetical order.  The elements to include are as follows:

If one author:

Author's Last Name, First Name. Book Title: Subtitle. edition number, Publisher, Publication Date.

 

If two authors:

First Author's Last Name, First Name, and Second Author's Last Name, First Name. Book Title: Subtitle. edition number, Publisher Publication Date.

 

If three or more authors:

First Author's Last Name, First Name, et al. Book Title: Subtitle. edition number, Publisher, Publication Date.

 

If organization/corporation author:

Organization/Corporation's Name. Book Title: Subtitle. edition number, Publisher, Publication Date.

 

If no author:

Book Title: Subtitle. edition number, Publisher, Publication Date.

 

If anonymous is used:

Anonymous. Book Title: Subtitle. edition number, Publisher, Publication Date.

If one author:

If two authors:

Using in-text citation is necessary to help avoid instances of plagiarism. t is an entry that appears in the body of your paper that includes the last name of the author(s) and page number when you express information or ideas taken from a source through a quote or by using your own words.  

Examples:

If one author:

(Porter 10).

Porter stated that "Insert quoted text here" (10).

 

If two authors:

(Porter and Dobbs 10).

Porter and Dobbs stated that "Insert quoted text here" (10).

 

If three or more authors:

(Porter et al 10).

Porter et al stated that "Insert quoted text here" (10).

 

If organization/corporation is the author:

(The Mayo Clinic Staff 10).

The Mayo Clinic Staff stated that "Insert quoted text here" (10).

 

If publisher is the author:

(Water Does Not 10).

Water Does Not stated that "Insert quoted text here" (10).

 

If no author:

(Water Does Not 10).

If anonymous:
