Historical Overview: Thurston Jamison, nicknamed “Oboe,” was a graduate of the class of 1935. He earned a Bachelor of Science (B. S.) in Music. He was from Cleveland, Ohio. He took part in many extracurricular activities and was a member of many campus organizations during his time at Wilberforce. He was an Alpha Phi Alpha. He played intramural basketball and served as a Lieutenant in R.O.T.C. Company C. He was also a member of the Glee Club, a Photo Editor of the Forcean Yearbook, a Director of the Ensemble, and a member of the Royal Collegians.
