Historical Overview: Muriel Wright Brailey was a professor at Wilberforce University. Her career began in 1986 and ended in the early 2010s. She briefly served as Interim Vice President of Academic Affairs in 2010.She earned a Ph.d. in English from Miami University in 1996, an M.A. in English from Brown University in 1972, and an A.B. in English from Morgan State College in 1970. She was a member of many university committees  and published numerous articles, poems, and other works.
