If you use the entire book (meaning you cite from many chapters or different parts of the book) you can cite the entire book on your Reference(s) page, but give the page number (or numbers) when you direct quote in your in-text citation.
Dobbs, B., & Williams, P. D. (2019). Male and female roles in a lion pride. Dayton, OH: Saunders.
In the pride "the female lion does most of the hunting and cub raising” (Dobbs & Williams, 2019, p. 202).
If you only use a specific chapter in a book, cite that chapter specifically.
